“A seed of God grows into God….let yourself go, let God be God in you.”

–Meister Eckhart

Where are we going, and why?

How do we find our heart’s desire and stay connected with it?

To answer these questions for ourselves, we need to explore the seed of love from which the entire garden grew. The tree and the seed can never be separated; likewise, we are inseparable from our Source. Around us we see others in need of more love, and looking for attention in increasingly unhealthy ways. How can we help?

The heart has capacity, it is an accommodation. It is also reflective like a mirror. Through the processes of clearing the heart and releasing the small self, common to many spiritual paths, we become more able to carry and spread love and compassion. The Primordial Light shines through, and we can perceive the indwelling wisdom and truth as a message. When we live from this wordless message, both our lives and the spiritual practice that supports us must change and evolve according to the needs of the time.

We will explore all of this through our lineage teachings, including that of Hazrat Inayat Khan, Murshid Samuel Lewis, Murshid Moineddin Jablonski, Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi, Mevlana Rumi, Ruth St Denis and all of the prophets, saints and masters of all times, male and female, who inspired them. Let’s return to the heart of love and compassion together!

Elements in the retreat will include: meditation, chanting, zikr, body prayer, Sufi teaching stories, sohbet (spiritual discussion) and, of course, the Dances of Universal Peace and Walks of Murshid Samuel Lewis.

Time: All day Friday and Saturday (including lunch). Half day Sunday.

Aramaic Prayer Cycle on Thursday evening, 7-9 pm, same location.
