All Wisdom’s Children:

The Aramaic Jesus, Jewish Mystics and the Sufis

Neil Douglas-Klotz

“My heart can take on any form: A meadow for gazelles, A cloister for monks, For the idols, sacred ground, Kaaba for the circling pilgrim, the tabets of the Torah, the scrolls of the Qur’an. My creed is Love. Wherever its caravan turns along the way, that is my belief, my faith.”

— Andalusian Sufi Ibn Arabi

Chant, contemplation, walking meditation and Dances of Universal Peace drawn from the Jewish, Christian and Islamic mystical traditions. Our retreat will focus on themes of creation, letting go, transformation and community, especially considering the challenges we face in difficult times for human beings and the planet. Together with all of the beings of the earth, we are children of Holy Wisdom (Hokhmah) gathered together around the same table.

Neil Douglas-Klotz (Saadi Shakur Chishti) co-founded the Dances of Universal Peace International Network with Murshida Tasnim Fernandez in 1982. He is the author of a number of books on native Middle Eastern spirituality and the Aramaic Jesus, including Prayers of the Cosmos and The Sufi Book of Life. Recently he edited a series of books collecting the lesser known writings of Lebanese mystic Kahlil Gibran and authored A Little Book of Sufi Stories. Details about his work can be found at the website of the Abwoon Network www.abwoon.org
